Online Learning Provision at Saffron Valley Collegiate
At Saffron Valley Collegiate, we support young people experiencing anxiety around school by helping them rebuild their confidence through small, manageable steps back into learning.
Our online provision is designed for students who are currently unable to attend school in person, typically those experiencing emotionally-based school non-attendance (EBSNA), who may also have medical conditions such as anxiety related to their non-attendance.
Our online provision operates within a structured 12-week programme, with the clear aim of building students' confidence whilst also providing strategies for them to return to their referring mainstream school or transition to a more appropriate educational setting.
What We Offer:
A Partnership Approach
We achieve successful outcomes by working in close partnership with both parents and the referring school. Together, we create a gradual, well-planned transition back into the classroom, setting achievable goals and developing strategies that support each young person both in school and at home.
This collaborative approach ensures that students feel confident, supported and ready to succeed when they return to their school environment.
Next Steps and Alternative Pathways
Where the online provision does not meet the young person's needs, we will work in collaboration with the school and other professionals to consider next steps beyond Saffron Valley Collegiate. Our commitment is to ensure every student receives the most appropriate support for their individual circumstances.
Making a Referral
Schools wishing to refer students to our online provision should contact us to discuss whether this programme is suitable for the young person's needs. We welcome early conversations to ensure our provision aligns with the student's requirements and the school's reintegration plans.
The referral process is via the usual monthly SVC East panel (please see SVC East panel dates and referral form).
If you wish to discuss a referral, and a young person's suitability for the offer before submitting paperwork, you are welcome to call:
